They usually play a metal rock type of genre but they also play smooth sound and instrumental type of music especially in concerts. Their guitarist John Petrucci is an excellent guitar player because of his guitar riffs and the way he expresses his facial expression.. Their Bassist, John Myung is also good because of his very fast scaling with his bass guitar. he has also good bass riffs that makes me feel learning more about what bass scales are all about. Also, They have a good drummer and a excellent keyboardist that makes the sound more unique and also their vocalist, he has an awesome voice and he as a great control of his pitches. if your not satisfied enough, just visit their website or just listen to their songs.
